Everything below is included as part of the Winter Work Japan programme:

  • Pre-arranged winter job placement (3–4 months) includes subsidised shared staff accomodation*
  • Step-by-step Working Holiday Visa application guidance
  • Pre-departure session + prep materials
  • Advice from our Japan specialist
  • 24/7 emergency assistance and Japanese-speaking support
  • Airport meet & greet (airport, arrival times and dates vary)
  • Arrival orientation in Tokyo or Sapporo*; includes: a prep session, walking tour, a lunch, ¥1,000 Kombini voucher and a travel card
  • 3 nights’ accommodation during arrival orientation
  • Winter Work Japan t-shirt & tote bag
  • Winter Work Japan WhatsApp group with other participants

*Contract length differs by employer. Accommodation is usually shared hostel-style housing, payment taken monthly out of salary. Your arrival orientation location will depend on your placement location. 

Other costs to bear in mind
